I am going to share with you some information about our chicken’s breeds and pictures of chicks and chickens!!!

Plymouth barred rocks:

Average Weight: Hens – 7 1/2 lbs. and Roosters 9 1/2 lbs.

Meat or Laying: Laying

Egg Color: Brown

Egg Size: Large to Extra Large

Laying average: Very Good Layers (6 eggs a week in Summer and 5 eggs a week in winter)

Average Weight: 4 1/2 lbs.

Meat or Laying: Laying

Egg Color: White

Egg Size: Small to Medium

Laying average: EXCELLENT! 1-2 eggs a day

Egg Color: Green,Pink or Blue

Egg size: Large

Laying average: Ok
